Cute preschool fruit/vegetable crafts?

I really wanted them to make a watermelon craft, but all I can find is painting half of a paper plate like a watermelon and gluing seeds on. I’m afraid this won’t take up enough time. It should take them about 25 minutes to complete the craft. Anyone else have ideas for a cute craft? It doesn’t have to be watermelon, but it must stay within the fruit and vegetable theme.

Thanks in advance! :)

    1. Do vegetable prints. Cut vegetable in half and use them as stamps with paint. Bell peppers are beautiful! Apples cut the "wrong" way (not the usual way) makes a star in the middle.
      Celery is good too.
This can take some time doing 3 or 4 different fruits and vegetables in different colors.
Maybe you can have some saved for snacks too!
If you do them on large paper you can laminate or cover with Contact paper and use them for placemats.
